Meet Noella

For the past 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of working at the intersection of big ideas and real impact.

My path has been wonderfully winding: from pipetting samples in a Tuberculosis vaccine lab in Cape Town to designing a public health intervention against malaria in Mozambique, from helping build learning experiences for a university in Mauritius to scaling a workforce development program in Nigeria.

I’ve called eight countries home and collected a Masters in Clinical Science & Immunology along the way. What energizes me is this shift I keep spotting: The moment when smart, caring people decide to build the world they want to see.

Whether I’m designing a pilot to change America’s safety net policies, helping a New York-based family foundation think ten years ahead, or coaching social enterprises through growth spurts, I love that I get to help visionaries move from “wouldn’t it be nice if…” to “here’s exactly how we’re going to make it happen.”

I speak English and Swahili, serve on a few boards I care deeply about, and write fiction in my spare time.

About ONE

ONE turns bold visions into strategy that moves people to act.

The organizations that successfully launch, scale, or pivot share one thing: Everyone — inside and out — can see where they're going and why it matters.

We build that.

ONE Advisory helps mission-driven organizations move from a vision to a strategy their stakeholders can’t help but root for. We work with founders and executives at the moment the strategy that got them here stops being the strategy that takes them forward — when growth, a new program, or a shifting funding landscape calls for a reset.

Most strategy work stops at the document. Ours doesn't. A plan only creates change if the people who have to deliver it — your team, your board, your funders, the communities you serve — understand it, believe it, and move together. That alignment is the part most often skipped, and it is where we spend our time. We pair clear strategy with the narrative that carries it, so the plan you leave with is one you can defend in a board meeting, take to a funder, and hand to your team without translation.

That word matters, because translation is the heart of what we do. Much of what stalls a strong organization is not a shortage of ideas but a gap between groups that don't yet understand each other: a board and an operating team, a funder and a grantee, a founder and the staff carrying the work. We close that gap — turning high-level intent into language and decisions people can act on.

What we help you do:

Decide under uncertainty. Whether to grow or to deepen, what to take on and what to decline, and what would have to be true for a plan to work. We help you make the irreversible calls without waiting for a certainty that never arrives.

Tell a story that moves people. A complete, honest account of where you're going and why — one that energizes the board members, funders, and team whose belief you need, without overstating the work.

Measure what matters. Indicators that fit your context and your stage, rather than borrowed benchmarks that flatten the work — so you can show progress in terms a funder understands and a team can learn from.

We also work with funders who want to invest in their grantees' capacity, and who want an honest read on what their grantees are facing on the ground.

Our perspective is built across continents and sectors — workforce and education, philanthropy and social enterprise, public-private partnerships — and from years inside rapidly growing organizations. We have led operations through scale, built the systems that let teams make decisions without us, set up grantmaking from the ground up, and sat on both sides of the funding table.
