Own Your Strategy

A nine-week intensive for nonprofit leaders who want to build their idea into a strategy that gets their team, board, and funders excited about the future again.

Is this you?

You have a sense of the new direction you want your organization to move in. But it lives in your head, half-built.

Meanwhile the board asks for "a bit more clarity on direction," politely, again.

Fundraising has stalled, because you don't yet have a medium term plan you can sell with conviction.

You still believe in the mission, but the strategy underneath it isn’t working anymore.

You've been waiting for a clear week to work it all out. That week keeps getting railroaded by something more urgent.

And even when you make the time to think, you feel like you’re in an echo chamber.

We build your strategy together across: your vision, your process, your data, your story, and how you'll fund it.

You do the thinking between our weekly calls. I bring the frameworks and the hard questions, and I push on every decision until the whole thing is stress-tested and—just as important—articulated.

The strategy is yours, in your voice, the whole way through.

"At the beginning of this process, I thought the help I needed was to refine an already developed strategy. However, Noella helped expose a broader scope of work that redefined how I was thinking about the organisation and our strategy. The sequence of activities, and the way she constructively shaped my outputs, were critical in keeping me true to the core of the organisation while also pushing our commitment to systems-level work forward."

What you’ll leave with

1

A written strategy in your own voice: your vision, how you'll deliver it, and how you'll fund it, that you can hand to your board and team.

2

A story that builds off of what you've already achieved, so funders and partners hear where you're going, not just where you've been.

3

Conviction in your next steps, and the future of your org.

How it works

Nine weekly one-to-one sessions, plus two to three hours of your own thinking in between each one. The pre-work is where you write down your reasoning, and you will have tools and frameworks to do this with.

I take five leaders at a time. The next five start in October.

Own Your Strategy is a fit if:

  • You're at a turning point: a new direction, a reorganization, a season of fast change.
  • You can feel where your organization needs to go, but haven't developed a strategy for how you'll get there.
  • You've been carrying the thinking mostly alone, and you're ready not to.
  • You want to own the strategy at the end, not receive one.

It's not a fit if:

  • You want someone to hand you a finished plan while you stay out of it.
  • You aren't ready to have your assumptions challenged.
  • You can't carve out weekly focus time.

Investment

$12,500

for rigorous, one-on-one strategy development and collaborative executive thinking.

Set that figure against a year of fundraising left on hold, a board growing more distant, and a team losing confidence in the direction. Those hidden costs compound silently every day.

The alternative is a strategy you can state with conviction, and the momentum that follows when your board, your team, and your funders can finally see where you're going.

"I've spent over a decade working on agricultural supply chains, and I've always believed that complexity of this sector needs to be honored in the way we communicate. What Noella helped me see is that the job isn't to reduce the complexity, it's to translate it. She moved me and my team from 'what do we want to say' to 'what does the listener need to hear,' and that shift reframed how we think about every funder conversation, every partnership pitch, every board update. I left with a vision articulated in language anyone can follow, without losing the depth of the problem we're solving. If you've ever walked out of a meeting feeling like your listener didn't quite grasp what you were doing, this is the solution."
